Amazon stuck with months of repairs after drone strikes on data centers

Amazon's cloud customers face several months of disrupted operations after Iranian drone strikes damaged data centers in the UAE and Bahrain. Amazon Web Services (AWS) has suspended billing in affected regions and estimates full recovery will take nearly half a year, with an initial $150 million cost from waived March 2026 charges.
