Crewe religious group raided by police investigating allegations of serious sexual offences

Police raided the headquarters of the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light in Crewe, Cheshire, with around 500 officers deployed to investigate allegations of serious sexual offences, modern slavery, and forced marriage. Arrests were made, and warrants were executed at the group’s former orphanage and other properties.
