Study: Infrasound likely a key factor in alleged hauntings

A study published in Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience suggests that infrasound from sources like vibrating pipes, mechanical systems, or wind turbines may explain sensations of ghostly presence in allegedly haunted locations. Previous research by psychologist Richard Wiseman found that environmental factors such as magnetic fields, humidity, and lighting influenced people's reports of paranormal experiences in haunted sites.
