New House Democrat Analilia Mejia sworn in to fill seat vacated by Mikie Sherrill

Democrat Analilia Mejia was sworn into the U.S. House of Representatives to replace Mikie Sherrill, who vacated the seat after winning New Jersey's gubernatorial election. Mejia, a progressive backed by Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, won a special election in New Jersey's 11th Congressional District and advocates for abolishing ICE.
