Maikel Rojas, a 45-year-old South Florida man, was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in October 2025 after attending a court-mandated annual check-in at the Miramar immigration office. He was held at a facility colloquially known as 'Alligator Alcatraz' before his release.
