A study published in Nature reveals that mRNA vaccines bypass conventional dendritic cell pathways for CD8+ T cell activation. The research shows mRNA vaccines utilize both cDC1 and cDC2 cells redundantly instead of relying on type 1 conventional dendritic cells or the WDFY4-dependent cross-presentation pathway.
