Brooklyn resident Carlisle Rivera, known as 'Pop,' was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in a murder-for-hire plot orchestrated by the Iranian government. The plot targeted Masih Alinejad, a journalist and human rights activist critical of Iran. Rivera was also convicted of stalking Alinejad.
