Man Charged for Planting Explosive Devices outside the RNC and DNC on January 5, 2021

Brian J. Cole Jr. was arrested and charged for transporting and planting two improvised explosive devices outside the Republican National Committee and Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington D.C. on January 5, 2021. The charges relate to the placement of IEDs at both major political party headquarters during a critical period in U.S. politics.
