Arizona Woman Sentenced for $17M Information Technology Worker Fraud Scheme that Generated Revenue for North Korea

Christina Marie Chapman, a 50-year-old Arizona woman, was sentenced to 102 months in prison for orchestrating a $17 million fraud scheme that enabled North Korean workers to pose as U.S. citizens and obtain remote IT positions at over 300 American companies. The scheme generated revenue for North Korea by illegally placing foreign workers in sensitive technology roles across the United States.
