FBI Surges Resources to Nigeria to Combat Financially Motivated Sextortion

The FBI has launched Operation Artemis, a global operation to combat financially motivated sextortion schemes originating from Nigeria. In coordination with multiple law enforcement partners, the FBI deployed increased resources and personnel to Nigeria to address the high rate of sextortion-related suicides attributed to Nigerian perpetrators.
