Manufacturers of tile, glass oppose import duty cuts

The All Pakistan Ceramic Tiles Manufacturers Association (APCTMA) and Pakistan Glass Manufacturers Association (PGMA) oppose proposed import duty cuts on ceramic tiles and glass products, warning that reduced tariffs would threaten domestic industries already operating at 50% capacity due to high energy costs, financing rates, and economic challenges. Both groups urge the government to maintain current tariff structures to prevent industry collapse and enable recovery.
