British Heart Foundation to close 150 charity shops as costs rise
The British Heart Foundation is closing 150 charity shops and cutting jobs due to rising costs and the shift to online shopping. A review of its retail arm revealed a significant drop in net profit from £18.8m in 2024 to £3.6m in 2025, making a quarter of its UK stores unsustainable.
