Middle East crisis live: Israel to continue ground operation in southern Lebanon despite agreed ceasefire
Israel's defense minister announced the IDF will continue its ground operation in southern Lebanon and prevent the return of displaced populations, despite a renewed ceasefire agreement. A UN peacekeeper was killed and two others injured when mortar shells struck near Marjayoun, southern Lebanon. The UN interim force in Lebanon (Unifil) reported the incident.
