$7 Billion 1901 Project — West Side’s Largest Ever — Breaks Ground On Music Hall, Hotel, Retail Space
The $7 billion 1901 Project, led by Michael Reinsdorf and Danny Wirtz, broke ground on the Near West Side to transform parking lots around the United Center into a mixed-use development with a music hall, hotel, retail, and housing. The first phase, including a 6,000-seat music hall and hotel, is set for completion in Spring 2028, with all six phases projected to finish by 2040.
