Hungary Says It Has Deal With Ukraine on Minority Rights, Ties It to EU Accession Talks

Hungary and Ukraine reached a comprehensive agreement to expand language, cultural, educational, and political rights for ethnic Hungarians in Ukraine’s Zakarpattia region. Kyiv committed to enshrining the measures in law and linking them to the EU accession action plan, while Hungary indicated support for opening the first EU negotiation cluster for Ukraine.
