Delaney Hall, an ICE detention camp in Newark, New Jersey, operated by Geo Group, has reported spoiled food with maggots, overcrowded and unsanitary conditions, inadequate medical care, and instances of physical mistreatment. Detainees, who have not been convicted of crimes, are paid about $1 per day for work. Geo Group admitted to at least one physical altercation involving chemical agents, while DHS denied mistreatment claims.
