Calls for faster rehousing of evicted Hong Kong subdivided flat tenants
Hong Kong lawmakers urge authorities to provide faster and more flexible urgent accommodation for tenants evicted by a new regulation targeting subdivided flats. The Housing Bureau plans to reserve up to 180 transitional flats for displaced residents. Scott Leung Man-kwong, deputy chairman of the Legislative Council’s housing panel, commented on the issue.
