Discover Introduces New 5% Category for Third Quarter

Discover is introducing new 5% cash back categories starting July 1, 2026, including gas stations, drugstores, EV charging, public transportation, and flights, with a quarterly maximum of $75. The offer applies to Discover it® Cash Back and Discover it® Student Cash Back cards, which also provide 1% cash back on all other purchases and a first-year cash back match. An alternative card, Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards, offers higher cash back rates in selected categories.
