Hong Kong government’s venture fund eyes bigger bankroll after double-digit return
The Hong Kong government's venture fund, managed by Hong Kong Investment Corporation (HKIC), achieved a double-digit internal rate of return in 2024, exceeding many new venture capital funds. CEO Clara Chan Ka-chai noted the fund bypassed the typical J-curve performance, earning HK$2.3 billion, and is now seeking additional funding.
