A pair of nesting bald eagles was spotted in Los Angeles County, a rare occurrence in Southern California where they typically nest along the California-Oregon border. The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation warned residents not to disturb the federally protected birds, noting their mating season runs from January to July or August, and eggs could hatch as early as next month if laid.
