Californians sue over AI tool that records doctor visits

Californians have filed a class-action lawsuit against Sutter Health and MemorialCare for allegedly using an AI transcription tool, Abridge AI, to record medical consultations without consent. The lawsuit claims patients were not informed their conversations were being captured, transmitted outside clinical settings, or processed by third-party systems.
