Israeli forces have made their deepest incursion into Lebanon since 2000, seizing Beaufort Castle and targeting Iran-backed Hezbollah. The military operation complicates U.S.-brokered ceasefire efforts and an emerging deal to extend the Iran war ceasefire, with over 3,300 Lebanese killed and 1 million displaced since fighting began in March.
