Southern Democratic leaders say South Carolina should hold first primary in 2028
Southern Democratic leaders from Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and West Virginia urged South Carolina to hold the first primary in 2028. They sent a letter to Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin requesting this change.
