Bahraini leader cultivates loyalty over crackdown on Iranian sympathizers

Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has received over 1,000 messages of support from citizens, tribes, and officials following a crackdown on individuals accused of Iranian sympathies. The campaign, initiated after the king vowed to 'cleanse' the country of traitors, coincided with the imprisonment of 12 people for supporting Iran or collaborating with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
