Al Green loses primary to Christian Menefee after Houston House seat redrawn

U.S. Rep. Christian Menefee defeated Al Green in the Democratic runoff for Houston's newly redrawn 18th Congressional District, ending Green's 20-year congressional tenure. Menefee, who previously won a special election to fill the seat, will face Republican nominee Ronald Whitfield in November.
