GOP veteran defeats populist candidate in one of America's most conservative districts

Republican strategist Tom Sell defeated MAGA-style candidate Abraham Enriquez in a primary runoff for Texas's 19th Congressional District, a conservative stronghold. Sell, endorsed by key House Republican leaders, will face Democratic candidate Kyle Rable in the general election. The win ensures Sell will succeed retiring Rep. Jodey Arrington.
