Nearly 10,000 Hongkongers granted permanent UK residence under BN(O) scheme

Nearly 10,000 Hongkongers have been granted UK permanent residence under the British National (Overseas) visa pathway launched in 2021, allowing them to apply for citizenship next year. The scheme permits applicants and dependents to live, work, and study in the UK for up to five years.
