Rare species threatened by devastating California island wildfire

A massive wildfire on California's Santa Rosa Island has burned over 17,500 acres and threatens rare plant species, including a unique Torrey pine strain found in only two locations worldwide. The fire was 44% contained as of Thursday, nearly a week after it started.
