Simi Valley man pleads guilty to fatally stabbing girlfriend in front of her children

A Simi Valley man pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the stabbing death of his girlfriend in front of her five children on September 27, 2024. Ramon Joseph Rivas was arrested at the scene when Simi Valley Police responded to the stabbing call. Ventura County DA Erik Nasarenko announced the guilty plea.
