Boys convicted of rape get non-custodial sentences as judge says they should not be criminalised unnecessarily
Three teenage boys aged 13-14 convicted of knife-point rape and sexual assault against two teenage girls aged 14-15 in Hampshire have received non-custodial sentences. The judge justified the decision by stating he should avoid criminalizing children unnecessarily. The boys physically overpowered their victims in separate incidents two months apart.
