Queen pushed for ex-prince Andrew’s appointment as trade envoy, documents show

Queen Elizabeth II advocated for her son Prince Andrew to be appointed as a government trade envoy in 2000, according to newly released documents. Andrew served as UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment from 2001 to 2011 in an unpaid position that gave him access to senior business and government officials worldwide.
