US is ‘simply choosing not to stop’ Ebola outbreak after massive public health cuts, experts say

A previously undetected Bundibugyo variant of Ebola is spreading through central Africa with hundreds of cases reported in the DRC. The US is notably absent from response efforts following massive cuts to global and domestic public health funding. There is currently no cure or vaccine available for this rare Ebola variant.
