Commercial humanoid robots in China may soon do laundry, make beds, care for elders

China's GigaAI has unveiled the SeeLight S1, the country's first general-purpose household humanoid robot designed to perform domestic chores like laundry, making beds, and elder care. The robot will be tested free of charge in Wuhan families in collaboration with the Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Centre and Hubei Humanoid Robotics Industry Alliance.
