Manchester has recorded the biggest fall in inner-city deprivation in Britain between 2010 and 2025. Andy Burnham, the Greater Manchester mayor, is using this as an example of his economic approach, dubbed 'Manchesterism'. He is a frontrunner to replace Keir Starmer.
