Fmr Dem Rep Barney Frank, sharp-tongued liberal trailblazer, Dodd-Frank co-author dies

Former Rep. Barney Frank, a sharp-tongued liberal trailblazer and co-author of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, has died at 86. He represented Massachusetts in the House from 1981 to 2013 and was a pioneer for gay rights in American politics. Frank's death was confirmed by his former campaign manager and close friend, Jim Segel.
