Woman loses nearly $10K in jury duty crypto scam

A woman named Gail Barr lost nearly $10,000 in a jury duty crypto scam after receiving a voicemail from a person claiming to be Chief Deputy Derek Elmore with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. The scammer used real local names and official-sounding titles to make the call sound legitimate. Gail was told she needed to pay a fine or risk arrest.
