DHS blasts California sanctuary policies after jail releases illegal immigrant accused in hit-and-run

The Department of Homeland Security criticized California's sanctuary policies after an illegal immigrant, Aman Kumar, was released from jail and later arrested by ICE for a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a 4-year-old boy. Kumar had previously been charged with felony hit-and-run causing death or injury. The DHS is calling on Governor Gavin Newsom to stop releasing criminals into communities.
