Andy Barr bests crowded Senate primary with help from Trump on way to replacing McConnell

Rep. Andy Barr won the crowded Republican Senate primary in Kentucky with help from President Donald Trump, setting him up to replace retiring Sen. Mitch McConnell. Barr's bid was spurred by a late endorsement from Trump, which helped him topple his main opponent, former Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. The winner will replace McConnell in November.
