25 states and DC sue Education Department over loan limits, citing health system strain

Democratic attorneys general from over 20 states and Washington, D.C., sued the Education Department over new loan limits for graduate student borrowers, citing strain on the healthcare workforce. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Maryland. The new limits are set to go into effect for graduate student loan borrowers.
