Meta is rapidly reorganizing its workers’ jobs around AI: ‘Transfers aren’t optional’

Meta is reorganizing its workforce around AI, mandating over 7,000 workers to move to new teams focused on AI agents and cloud infrastructure. The company is creating two new teams, one for building AI cloud infrastructure and another for an internal AI agent codenamed Hatch. Meta employees who were selected for reassignment will begin reporting to these new teams by the end of the week.
