WHO head ‘deeply concerned’ by Ebola outbreak as cases and deaths rise in DRC

The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has resulted in at least 130 suspected deaths and 500 suspected cases, with confirmed cases in Ituri province and Uganda. The World Health Organization's director general, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, expressed deep concern over the scale and speed of the outbreak. A US citizen has also tested positive and been transferred to Germany.
