High levels of toxic ‘forever chemicals’ found off coast of southern England

Scientists found high levels of toxic PFAS in the Solent strait off southern England, exceeding safe limits in some areas, with pollution coming from treated sewage. The study revealed levels 13 times the safe threshold for coastal waters. Pollution was also found in protected environmental sites.
