Fast-moving Sandy Fire burns 184 acres in Southern California, forcing evacuations in Simi Valley area

A fast-moving brush fire, known as the Sandy Fire, burned 184 acres in Southern California, forcing evacuations in Simi Valley area. The fire broke out around 10:50 a.m. and was threatening nearby structures. Evacuation orders were issued for residents in parts of Simi Valley and the Thousand Oaks area.
