Reeves poised to cancel planned fuel duty rise to help with cost of living

Chancellor Rachel Reeves plans to cancel a rise in fuel duty to help reduce the cost of living, potentially cancelling a 5p rise due to happen over six months. The move is estimated to cost the government £2.4bn a year. The decision is part of a package of measures to alleviate the cost of living crisis.
