Swing-seat Republican sidelined by 'serious' illness misses 88 votes as majority hangs by thread

Rep. Tom Kean Jr. has been absent from work due to a serious illness and is expected to miss several more weeks, his father former Gov. Tom Kean Sr. said he may not return until June or later. Kean Jr. has missed 88 votes since March 5. His absence affects House Republicans' slim majority ahead of the midterm elections.
