Jury orders Boeing to pay $49.5 million to family of 737 MAX crash victim

A federal jury in Chicago ordered Boeing to pay $49.5 million to the family of Samya Stumo, a victim of the second Boeing 737 MAX crash in 2018 and 2019. The crash was one of two incidents involving the Boeing 737 MAX within months of each other. The award is a result of a lawsuit filed by the Stumo family.
