Canadian officer accused of spying for China acquitted of charges

William Majcher, a retired Canadian police officer, was acquitted of national security charges related to allegations of helping Chinese police coerce a Vancouver-area real estate investor to return to China. Majcher was accused of breaching Canada's Security of Information Act. The prosecutors failed to prove he acted illegally.
