New York man found guilty of acting as an unregistered agent of China

Lu Jianwang, a 64-year-old New York man, was found guilty of acting as an unregistered agent of China for operating a 'secret police station' in Manhattan's Chinatown and helping China locate a pro-democracy activist. He was accused of working on behalf of Beijing without alerting the US attorney general. The incident occurred in 2022.
