Alex Murdaugh's double murder conviction unanimously overturned by South Carolina Supreme Court

The South Carolina Supreme Court overturned Alex Murdaugh's double murder conviction, ordering a new trial due to improper external influences by court clerk Mary Rebecca Hill. Murdaugh was previously sentenced to two consecutive life sentences for murdering his wife and son. He is also serving time for financial crimes.
