Russia presses its barrages of Ukraine as Trump talks of possible peace and Kyiv is emboldened

Russia has launched a barrage of drone attacks on Ukraine, targeting civilian areas and infrastructure, despite talks of possible peace between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The attacks have killed at least eight people and damaged energy facilities and railway infrastructure.
